Operating unmanned vehicles is a demanding challenge.  To meet even the most basic regulatory requirements, an advanced detect-and-avoid system is needed.  Secure ground-to-air and air-to-ground communications will also have to be supplemented with autonomous control which will require some measure of artificial intelligence and machine learning capability.

The Sky Hopper initiative is aimed at resolving these issues as part of a cross-industry effort.  Today some are presently intractable, although a lot of effort is going in globally to resolve them.  This is exactly why we feel ‘it’s time…’

Instead of seeing these challenges as obstacles, we see the commercial gains to be made from being an industry leader.  We are a small agile, and experienced, group of innovative designers and engineers with a wide network of skills and capabilities to tap into.
